Johnny Park Trail Obstacles

Heading up the Johnny Park Trail in Colorado.
Johnny Park's one of the trails we tried that was still closed for the season when we first moved to Colorado. We ventured back and this time it was open.

The trail's moderately difficult, not bad in some places with several fun challenges along the way. Here's a few of the photos from the trail...

Fall Colors On Caribou Creek

Colorado aspens in fall.
We headed out last weekend for the Caribou Creek trail to see the Aspens. The day was going to be warm so we dropped the top, figuring it might be a while before it'd be warm enough again.

The map covered the first third of the trail which was fairly relaxed. The rest was twice as long, much more rocky and had several ledgy areas thrown in...

A Few Harder Trails

The Jeep did fine on easier trails after doing a home-installed lift, so it was time to check it out on slightly harder trails.

Everything stayed where it should, and nothing broke. Of course these aren't rated higher than a 4-5. I'm planning to stay a little over-modified compared to trail difficulty, and there's plenty to be done at the current build up stage.
